Thoughts on The Bert Show

Not living in Atlanta or ever paying that much attention to Q-100, I have not listened to The Bert Show
until the RI posts this weekend comparing the YouTube videos of The Morning Mess and The Bert Show.
I have to say, The Bert Show was very interesting to watch. Not trying to lead a witness, but
I guess, what I am asking is what's the real opinion(s) on this show from everyone here on RI???
And really, how tall is Bert??? That seems to be a pretty funny punch line.

Thanks in advance for the lively commentary sure to follow...

The Morning Mess plays phone scams on innocent people andthe audience is on the joke.

Bert Show plays phone scams on their audience by having phony callers. It is akin toJerry Springer. You know most of these people just can't exist.

Bert 5"4 when wearing 5" heels.

The Bert Show is the best radio morning show that target's its age group on radio right now. I think star 94's morning mess prank calls is so 80s and needs to stop. but we are all entitled to our thoughts. I think the longest person that has been on star 94 that does a great job is tripp west !

Jerry Springer: Very successful
The Bert Show: Very successful

I don't see any value added in knowing that the callers on The Bert Show are real. If I can suspend reality and enjoy a scripted show like CSI or Two and a Half Men, then I can do the same with The Bert Show (if it's scripted).

Added bonus: I have a friend who was on Jerry Springer. No, he's not a backwoods redneck, he's an actor. They put him up in Chicago for a night, paid his airfare and a nice little chunk to be on the show. Nice work if you can get it.

I like The Bert Show. I find their phone scams annoying, but maybe it's because I've moved beyond prank calling people -- fun when I was about middle school age!!! They have good interviews with their celebrity guests, and I like how they "gel" with one another. I'm glad they moved to the stronger signal too - I live in Atlanta but couldn't get reception of Q100's old frequency inside my house!

I think Bert is about 5'4" tall.

I can say for sure that not all callers and bits are fake. I did call one Friday for their "I'm nervous about this weekend because.." and got on. They called back on Monday to follow-up and never got to the other two "follow-ups". Probably had something to do with the fact that my ex-wife called in when she heard my voice on the radio and things got a little heated.......she can be a bit of a psycho but it made for good radio.

The Bert show wears me out. Too much forced laughter. The normal conversation and topics are usually interesting but everyone needs to relax and be themselves.

So my clock radio goes off this morning and its still set to 99.7 for LACK of a better station to turn it to -and at 1st i thought i was still dreaming.
NIRVANA.
was the death of 99x all a horrible nightmare??? could it f*ing be possible?

then i realize it was just mellissa playing rock band. so not fair .what a tease.
even bert made a comment something like that song was for "All the 99Xers who didnt feel at home for past 10 days". thats when my radio hit the wall & its now in about 10 pieces.
bert u owe me a new clock. :-\

I agree that they do a good job reaching their demo. Since I'm a bit outside of their target, I do find their stereotyping of "all women think/act this way..." and "all men think/act that way..." tedious. But, clearly it's a hit with the younger set. They have good energy and some interesting topics, but I need a break from the male/female verbal ping-pong that takes place. Again, I'm not who they're aiming for....
