Thoughts on the New Broadcast Season?

I was wondering what everyone's thoughts were on the 2008-09 broadcast TV season thus far.

To me, it appears the networks have been slow to pull the trigger on underperforming shows. As I understand it, as of this writing, only FOX sitcom "Do Not Disturb" has been outright canceled and ABC's reality series "Opportunity Knocks" has been pulled from the schedule.

What shows do you think will be next to get the ax? I thought for sure CBS' "Worst Week" would be receiving a pink slip, but I just read additional scripts are being ordered. That, of course, doesn't mean a full season is on the horizon just yet, but it also appears as though cancellation isn't imminent.

What shows do you think are next on the chopping block?

Also, on a related note: Does anyone know who - be in the CW or Media Rights Capital - has the authority to cancel shows on that network's Sunday night schedule? Since this leasing out scenario is unusual territory, I wasn't 100 percent certain. I'm guessing MRC would be the entity, though. The entire block - "In Harm's Way," "Valentine" and "Easy Money" - has been getting very low ratings!

The only new-for-08 shows I've consciously thought to give a chance were Fox's Fringe (it's a winner) and NBC's Knight Rider. KR's writers and cast could develop their version into a much better show, but I don't think they'll last long enough to get the chance. That, and Pushing Daisies, one of my favorite new shows from last year, is back on the same timeslot.

I've heard that Life on Mars is pretty good, but I haven't found time to watch it yet.
