Thoughts on the T-Man?

Thank you, thank you, thank you. I am so annoyed with the T-man show that I made a login just to put this reply. This guy is annoying and has no talent. His "catch" phrase mmm-hmmm is annoying at best. He is similar to Jim Rome in that all Jim Rome does is complain about sport stars. T-Man just says mmm-hmmm to every thing and is oversexed (Howard Stern much?) I can't believe 94.9 replace Strawberry in the Morning with this crap.

Strawberry still had to work on a lot to be a strong show in the morning but at least when Sarah and No Name (more on this later) would go to commercial break I would tune it over and listen to him and Faye. The Carmen crank calls were funny and G-MO's traffic reports were hilarious.

There are a few post in this topic saying they switched morning shows. If you enjoy talk that is funny and has you laughing without all this "shock jock" crap that is overrated, Sarah and No Name on 97.3 is definitely it.

I've been listening to the T-Man for years, and at first i was like many of you. didn't care for him too much, mostly because I had always listened to the previous morning show.

But now all these years later, his show is one of the funniest on the radio and I listen every morning.

I'm really hoping he does his 'men with game' segments. i thought I heard him mention it this morning, so I'm hoping they do!

I think if T keeps in touch with this new market, he'll do fine here. Just as he does in Seattle. May take some time to win over the fans of the other show, but I think it will happen.

I can tell you this, the t-man was offered a prime slot on Free Fm NY and turned it down. One day we were told he was coming and that we should celebrate and then we're told that he wasn't because he accepted another offer. I've never heard his show but he must be doing fairly well.

How long will it take for the corporate guys/decision makers at Wild to figure out they
LOST their morning show audience? Save some money, and pull the plug soon. Trust me, no one will remember the T-man show. I'd rather listen to dead air.

he also claimed he was offered a slot at live 105.... which i can tell you is 100 % NOT TRUE.....
and... no one in radio turns down a prime slot in NY for SF......
T man is not only awful, he is a liar...

Do not believe a word this person says. They claim to be a AE working for Free Fm with inside info. Only problem is that they think the talent at Free Fm is O and E. Not one AE at Free Fm would make that mistake. Sell the numbers!!!!!! It's O&A. Agreed: No one would turn down Market 1 for Market 4. Also where would they but him in a morning slot at Free FM when it belongs to O & A. Sell the numbers you are without question the biggest liar on these boards.

Booker went from Market #1 to Market #6, but he got a much better time slot on a station that promised to promote the hell out of him.

But, as for T-Man saying he was offered a spot, I heard that there were several phone calls made by CBS to many different personalities when they figured out DLR needed to go, so I would not doubt he did get a phone call from FREE-FM in NY. I seriously, SERIOUSLY doubt he was ever offered anything more than a tryout and with no promise for AM drive.

Listen I really could careless what the hell you think. My point was about sell the numbers post and at this point in time I do not care about T-man at all. This person Sell the numbers has been post stuff without anything to back it up. On a radio board you should be able to back-up what you say.

Typo? Better look at the key board and see the location of A and E..... And I will post as I see fit. I will back anything that I say here. He has been posting stuff that he can or will not back-up. Or am I talking to the same person? And I will post fact, no one in NY is going to bring market 14 to market 1 for morning drive.

i wont deny it, yes, i am a fan of others in the biz, but i am also an emplyee at live 105, and heard t man on the air, saying he was offered the morning show there. HE WAS NOT.

While I agree that its unlikely the TMan was offered mornings at Live 105, how can you know for certain? Are you the General Manager of Live 105 (or another high ranking VP of sorts)? No disrespect intended, but you would be surprised at what goes on behind the scenes at many stations - ideas which will blow your mind are quite frequently discussed.

o:k fine you don't have to put your resume on with each post...but for those less familiar with radio-info, like myself, when I read "this guy sucks" I assumed it was someone's unbiased opinion.
I now come to find out that "this guy sucks" actually translates to "this guy better suck or my station's in a world of hurt"

i just dont like it. it has nothing to do with bias, i happen to be a big fan of lamont and tenelli and i dont work for the bone.
i also like sarah and no name. i was never a fan of stern.....

according to sean demery, this was not true. it was either the crew we've got, adam corolla, or it would have been a show made up of current staff.....
they denied the dog house, why on earth would they take a show from a different state that was a complete rip off the dog house? the doghouse was an established bay area show, and live did not want it.... sorry , tman fans , the man is full of sh**
