The Austin thread's been around for a while now, and why hasn't there been a San Antonio thread to go along with it? I'm making one.

Oppinions on any radio stations / know of any format flips?

I say Cox will pull the plug on X106.7 by spring.

Maybe there will be a WOAI FM simulcast this year, replacing 96.1 (or whatever) or replacing a translator station in SA (93.7, 102.3...)

96.1 is a Top 3 station in their target demos. There's no reason to replace Mix 96.1 to simulcast WOAI on the FM dial.

Predictions:

I would say Clear Channel sells 92.5 KRPT Devine to Educational Media Foundation, and picks up 97.7 McQueeny and simulcasts WOAI, plus gets a tax break for doing so.

X1067 Cox spins it off to Univison. X1067 becomes Que Buena. KISS goes Classic Rock. True Oldies Channel comes to a station in San Antonio either KTSA, or KTKR. Probally KTKR.

And the active rock? Where will that end up? Or will it just die?

Like in Houston, Texas Active Rock will just die

Unless BMP changes ownership, I'll predict that ESPN 1250 drops its only local show before the end of the year and KTSA goes syndicated for PM drive.

97.3, 98.5, 100.3, 101.1 will all be in full HD signal ;D

And 98.5 better be playing something decent on their HD2 signal, and not the old Party 977 material that hasn't been updated in so long...

Perhaps 100.3 and 101.1'll get HD2 channels too.
