Thr river 97.3 now has the edge?

I dont listen to 97.3 much, but I did the other day. I notitced they dropped the "rockin roll without the edge". Seem to be playing more "heavier" rock now. Anyone else notice?

I caught some of the River over the weekend. I too thought they sounded better with a little more rock.I hope they keep it up and can give WTPA a run for their money. Plus it will give me a station to tune into when WTPA has football on.

Give WTPA a run for their money??? WRVV has an 8+ share 12+... and is #1 25-54 and 35-64. WTPA has a freaking 4-share! 'TPA wishes that tjey could carry The River's shoes.

So.....do you think this will make the River fall in the numbers? or take some of TPA and 105.7's share?I think WTPA could have good numbers if only they played more then 300 of the same songs.

TPA needs a make over. It is a boring station to listen to. It was a good idea to add sports, but the station plays the same lame classic rock every day. They sounded better to me when they were classic rock that really rocks station, they played a few newer songs without stepping on 105.7's play list. If they are going to play classic rock groups, try playing other songs then the same damn one or two songs from a group. Try playing something else from there albums. Opps, did I say ALBUM??? I mean cd. (Showing my age).

Yeah, but they're still Rock/AC. They've added tunes like Bon Jovi's "Runaway" and acurrent Punk-tinged song from Green Day.
