Three Dog Night singer, Cory Wells, dead at 74

Cory Wells, one of the lead singers of Three Dog Night, died unexpectedly Tuesday at his home in Dunkirk. He was 74.

Beginning in September, the band postponed several shows, saying Wells needed continued treatment for a nerve problem in his back that caused severe pain.

There is no word on his cause of death or if the medical issue Wells was dealing with played any role.
