Some thought he'd be on his way out (at least at Cox) after losing affiliates last year as a result of format flips and whatnot. This new contract negates any chance of that happening, I guess.

Bubba has such amazing ratings in Tampa, they would be crazy not to resign him. And on a Sarasota signal that isn't very good in Tampa or to the north of Tampa.
