...I don't think these are necessarily for local signals in the Madison market; Workers Independent News is a syndicated service and provided the top-of-the-hour newscasts for the i.e.America network until the UAW shut that operation down in February 2004...<P ID="signature">______________

The Workers Independent News (WIN) is aired on more than 100 radio stations (commercial and non-commercial) across the country. WIN is the only nationwide radio news service that focuses on the issues and concerns of workers, working families and the labor movement.

WIN airs on 4 radio stations in Wisconsin. In Madison, WIN airs every morning on WTDY 1670 AM (commercial) and on WORT 89.9 FM (non-commercial).

WIN airs daily on KMOX in St. Louis, and on WLIB in New York. In the past, WIN was aired daily on both the Air America Radio National network, and on the i.e. America Radio network.

WIN Barter Newscasts are available at www.LaborRadio.org/barter:
• 1-minute :)50 WIN News, :10 ad), daily.
• 2-minute (1:30 WIN News, :30 ad), daily.
• 3-minute (2:30 WIN News, :30 ad), daily.

Your radio station can quickly and easily download the 1-minute, 2-minute, and 3-minute radio-quality newscasts from the WIN website at www.LaborRadio.org. If you haven't heard our labor news program lately, I invite you listen to today’s stories, or read text versions, at www.LaborRadio.org.

WIN airs stories of interest to radio listeners every business day, all across the country. We frequently cover news about: health care, Social Security, and pensions.

For example, recent WIN stories on health care include:
• US Airways asks bankruptcy court for permission to eliminate pension plans and healthcare coverage.
• Companies sue their retired workers to cut health care benefits.
• Healthcare Costs May Be Leading Cause of Bankruptcy in U.S.
• US Census Bureau reports swelling numbers of people without healthcare.
