Tonight was one of the best Es openings to the Southwestern United States I have ever worked. Lasting a total of 125 minutes, I received 19 new logs and a ton of relogs from this incredible opening. MUF was well over 108, and some local translators, LPFMs and even full power stations were obliterated at times by Es.

1904 97.7 KLVO Belen, NM; ID "Lobo" after regional Mexican song. Relog (not heard since 7/20/11), 98.4KW at 1077 miles.
1905 96.3 KBZU Albuquerque, NM; poor to fair with Joe Diffie "Prop Me Up Against the Jukebox When I Die" and very weak ID "96.3 Nash Icon." NEW #428, 17.5KW at 1076 miles.
1907 101.3 unid with "My Wish" Rascal Flatts...wonder if it was a Gunnison CO translator of KKXK, or maybe KLAW in OK
1909 95.9 unid with Spanish, mentioned "Amigo," had "Angel" by Sarah Maclachlan in the background, seemed religious nature. Will post the clip and see if anyone can ID it.

2046 At the same time, 17KW 92.9 KDBL Toppenish was getting chewed up by an unid with "Shut Up and Dance" Walk the Moon!!!!!!! This has NEVER happened before with KDBL on the air, about 20 miles away!!!! Station was likely KMIY Tucson, which would have been new!
ALSO, 93.7 K229AD Yakima was being chewed up by a top 40 station, likely KRQQ Tucson!! Not needed however, already logged in 2011.

Should be a new #447 and #448 in there - which are KJZZ 91.5 and KMVP 98.7. All E-skip logs from Western Washington, EXCEPT those that were on local Yakima frequencies, were counted - but 98.7 and 91.5 are new to Yakima, even though they were logged on the west side, since they were not counted at first. Sorry!
That means I have a total of 21 new!
 
Two unids have now been ID'ed.
95.7 with business/address was Ron's Auto Accessories on 1312 Arizona Avenue in Parker. That was KPKR Parker, relog.
95.9 mentioning "Amigo" was KUKY Wellton, AZ - NEW #449, only 1600W at 1021 miles.

June 23 was an incredible day for e-skip here in S.A. as well. I logged 26 new stations that day. I’ve started following the TV FM Skip Log and found a seasoned DXer there who is from S.A. Around 10 a.m., he posted some FM catches from Mexico, so I headed down to an outdoor courtyard area when I was able to take a break from work. I logged a new station from Izúcar de Matamoros on my little Insignia NS-HD01A and an UNID. At lunch time I ate in my car at an outdoor parking lot and logged five more new ones from Mexico (using the car radio) and then two new ones from FL.

When I left the office for the day and turned on my car radio, the e-skip was booming in like crazy. I didn’t have to be home for a while, so I sat in my car for an hour and a half and tuned around, logged, and recorded. Most of the skip was from the north central US, although I did catch a station from FL and one from MD (my new distance record - 1,413 miles). When I got home I logged a few more stations, by which time the skip was coming from the NM/AZ area.
