Thrush Joins Saga's Low Country Radio Group/Hilton Head

https://news.****************/cgi-bin/rol.exe/headline_id=n36961

Reid Thrush joins Saga Communications' Low Country Radio Group in Hilton Head, SC, as Program Director of AC WOEZ-FM (Easy 93.7) and WVSC-FM-HD2 (Pure Oldies 99.1 and 106.5). He'll also serve as Operations Manager of the cluster which includes WLHH-FM (104.9 The Surf) and Adult Hits WVSC-FM (SC103.1). Reid joins the local group from West Virginia Radio Corporation where he was OM for outlets in Elkins, WV and handled afternoons on Classic Hits WWLW-FM (Sky 106.5)/Clarksburg, WV.

This is the first time I've been aware Hilton Head has a soft AC. At least Wikipedia says it's soft AC, even if the quote above doesn't.

Yeah, soft AC.

Based just on these songs played since I decided to try it:

"Fields of Gold" Sting
"The Living Years" Mike + The Mechanics
"I Keep Forgettin'" Michael McDonald
"If I Can't Have You" Yvonne Elliman
"Invisible Touch" Genesis
"Hard to Say I'm Sorry" Chicago
"Higher Love" Steve Winwood
"I Go Crazy" Paul Davis

"West End Girls" by Pet Shop Boys is the one song not played on WEZV. Not as extreme as WEZV in either direction and fewer of the new songs. Well, new being defined as from this century.

Uh-oh. "Raspberry Beret" by Prince. Not quite as easy as I suspected.

WLOW fans from 2005 have no place to go. I just tried the so-called oldies station 96.1 the Island.
