Sometime today Thunder Country 94.3 dropped country and became Star 94.3 the best of mix of music from the 80's,90's and beyond. And they will have Bill and Sheri in the AM. Sounds like they have gone back to the old Mix 94.3 format.

SO happy to have Bob and Sheri back! I have been missing that show for years now.

Format-wise... this really should be Hot AC, like what the Hot FM had become in its final days.

With some modifications, I believe they should look to Q98 in Fayetteville as a model. Probably more what Q was before the Cumulus days...but, they have always (for the most part) has a bright, uptempo Hot A/C sound. I think the Cumulus playlist is WAY too tight...but, I am old-school...so, what can I say? IMHO

Glad to hear they have taken those stations in a different directions. If someone is trying to take on WRNS...or even put a dent in their numbers...they should really have it together. As Thunder, I don't think they did.

I am glad to hear Savage at night on 103.7!

This format is absolutely awful. I would say "Gold Based AC" but that doesn't really even describe this since it's all over the road, and besides, that format just doesn't work anymore.

At least we get Bob & Sheri commercial free. I guess the computer locked up this morning; from what I could tell it was a raw feed of B&S running.

Dial Global had issues triggering closures across all of thier formats yesterday.

Those good ol' WRQR calls are available. Maybe Henry should take it back to rock.
Get the young crowd to sell with the older folks listening to WTIB.

94RQR is still well remembered around the Emerald City.

So 94.3 is back to its format from the mid 90s. I remember it was called Star 94.3 then. Funny. How many different formats was it since then?

It's never been called Star 94.3 before. It was Classic Hits 94.3 but then it went AC as "Mix 94.3" in the mid 90s.

I still feel like "Inner Banks Media" should have sold this station, i'm sure WGHB would have been interested in going to FM
"Sports".
