I'd rather listen to the sound of the leaf blowers outside my house in the early morning. At least those are bringing something productive to the table.
 
Ruger, I am glad you love the show, yippppeeeee for you. But if they couldn't beat Sam before, how are they going to beat him now? it's not an attack, a true question. They never even got near Sam before. What's so different now? The bad Seacrest wannabe and Lardo aren't going to get it done this time either. Especially with no budget and a balless wonder like Fant running (I use the term looslely because it's all actually run out of Atlanta) the show?
 
I honestly think Sam has lost most of his steam, he is old hat and no longer funny. Houston radio just plain stinks!

People are STARVING for a good show, I will say this, I bet they beat Sam by a full rating's point on return.

You know, I have had the good fortune to meet R&R and they treated all of us with kindness and respect. Danish and Silent Bob, I am probably what you would call "overweight." If I were to meet you would you crack a fat joke to my face? Or, would you go run and anonymously post mean statements like the gutless little cowards you are. After reading some of these posts, I now can see why I listened to R&R. They didn't stoop to the levels of the jerks in this room. I don't really care who does better in the ratings. If I like the show, then I tune in. I'll continue to pass this site along to all the fellow fans to make sure they see what kind of people support Sam Malone.
 
Um, didn't R&R make a point of saying they wouldn't go to 104 if management there booted Atom and Maria in the same unceremonious way R&R were axed at Mix? I guess money talks ... and it's gotta be less than what Atom and Maria were making. I fail to see which magical audience they'll be able to reach that their predecessors couldn't.
 
I have been on their site almost every day for the last six months and they never said that. They said someting like they wouldn't pull a Sam. I am sure they didn't do the same thing. Their is a bunch of us on their site right now. C'mon over and ask the rest of us.
 
Who are you kidding?????!!!!!! R&R, better known as insomniac theater should successfully take KRBE out of the top 5 and maybe even the top 10 in most demos for Houston morning shows. Congrats Cumulus, that tax loss your building here in Houston should be fully operational within weeks. When is the funeral for KRBE? This is a real shame and sham.
 
OK, Josh Reno. Would you like to make a wager? I was reading the forum on roulaandryan.com and somebody posted your myspace blog. I'm sorry you are going through what R&R went through, but show some class.
 
The big question: Most of the segments on Good Day Houston are paid. Did Cumulus pay for Roula and Ryan or did they somehow con someone into thinking tis was a worthy event?
 
Seems to me that tumor is the ONLY R&R fan out there. The name says it all. R&R will be the "tumor" that officially kills KRBE radio.
 
Just the only person on this board that isn't a radio broadcaster. You bet I am a fan. I'm on their website all the time. I was tipped off about this site and thought I would let you people know what a real listener sounds like. I took the name "Tumor" as an homage to all of you. Your vile mean spirited comments are like a cancer. So far all I have seen is a bunch of cowards make defamatory statements. If these are the people running the radio stations in Houston, then I feel sorry for all of us. I've seen infantile fat jokes, racial slurs, and a ton of fallacies. I guess I am going to have to get a lot more regular non-radio people to flood this site and give you a splash of reality. How will you deal with a bunch of positive people? What will you do when you have people other than bitter little men on this site?

In all seriousness, this site is notorious for being a mean spirited place. Maybe we come here to get out of all the things we can't say when we pass someone in the hallway. And, in my experience, people in radio aren't nice. It's the entertainment industry. You have to fight to get ahead. Sad but true.

Why the jokes and slurs you ask? Simple. We work in radio. We make the jokes, use the slurs, and completely talk crap about each other. Such is radio. If you're not a radio broadcaster, and you want to complain about how most of the people here act, I'd be more than happy to show you the door.
 
You know what, not all radio people are the negative creeps you portray them to be. I just had a chance to meet R,R & E and they couldn't have been nicer. It wasn't forced "let's be nice" to the audience. They were genuinely nice people that chatted with us about everything from family to radio stuff. I've had the good fortune to meet them on a few occasions and it is always a pleasure. I have met other radio and TV people and you are right about one thing. A lot of them are arrogant jerks. My husband was let down by Walton & Johnson and I was not impressed by Sam or Psycho Robbie. It is a shame you can't walk down your hallways and be honest. It's a shame that you can only say mean crap by anonymously. Thanks God I don't have to work in an environment like that. If you are that repressed, maybe you should change careers.
