According to All Access, Scott Mahalick has tapped Tic Tak for APD/Afternoons at 98.7 KUPL in Portland. From what I remember, this is his second go around with country radio when Mahalick hires him to do nights at 95.7 The Wolf in SF in 2007. Even though he only lasted 3-4 months, his night show was insane! Very high energy and unique for country radio.

He starts at KUPL May 31st.
 
TicTak is a really awesome on air personality and I'm sure he'll be successful wherever he goes. It just seems surprising he would leave PM drive at a CHR in market 1 to work at a small market country station. TicTak can do his magic no matter what the format of the station is, whether it be CHR, rock, dance, or even country, and that's one of the hallmarks of a great DJ.
 
Very strange...Why is he leaving market #1 ? Can't be more money can it? Does he not like NOW,...NY...or are the APD stripes appealing?...Could it be what happened with the Vibe in Las Vegas(him being PD now they are using the Pulse moniker).. Im very intersested to see what could have made this move happen. I'm from South jersey I had the pleasure of hearing Tik Tac as MOJO on BOSS 97 and as Tik Tak on Q102...he is one of my all time favorite on air personalities.
