Walter Graff said:Considering this was the guy who said Stern was leaving Sirius in June to go back to CBS, I'd simply read and move on. The NY radio landscape is forever changing and ripe now for any number of changes as radio groups scramble to make a buck.

Boss Jock 1947's post is very clever. If nothing happens, he can say that he didn't say anything would happen. If something does happen, he can say that's what he meant by his post. Unfortunately for Boss Jock 1947, he couldn't predict what time it will be a minute from now. Remember this thread?

Howard has a clause in his contract and yes he WILL excercise it and opt out in June of 2009. Count on it. At this time he has talked with Citadel, A couple of FM stations but likely will take the syndication route.
How much insight does BossJock1947 have regarding Howard Stern's future? Hopefully, it's more insight than he had regarding the replacement for the late and very great Ron O'Brian on WOGL.
Remember this string?

Email me if you want to know. It won't be announced for another week."
3 1/2 weeks letter the following was posted:
"According to the Daily News' Dan Gross today:
"... don't be surprised if weekender Cadillac Jack Seville picks up the afternoon drive shift vacated by Big Ron O'Brien, who died in April..."

BossJock1947 never responded to any questions about his disseminating false information
BossJock1947 has had a great career and I, for one, admire his accomplishments in radio. However, he unfortunately has no credibility regarding any individual's future plans. I don't know why he writes posts like this. His opinions and viewpoints are quite valid. However, his prognostication abilities aren't worth anything."
I think Boss Jock 1947 should take things one step at a time. Maybe he could start by trying to predict what tomorrow's date will be![]()

and for those few posters here who DON'T know the cultural reference of that last post - it was one of Chevy Chase's BEST lines on the ORIGINAL "Saturday Night Live", iirc, back in 1976...just thought you would like to know...

Walter Graff said:I had a laugh yesterday. A while back bossjock made one of his ridiculous predictions and said Stern was leaving Sirius in June. Yesterday, Stern celebrated his third year on Sirius and on his show he said how great it has been. He also reopened the question of the end of his contract in two years. He said now he didn't know if he was returning or not. On one hand he's tired of getting up and wants to hang out with his wife. On the other hand he said he'd miss it. He than said that regardless of what he does, if he did come back, he'd never go anywhere else and would only stay with Sirius. Guess June ain't happening.
Someone here said it best about bossjock:
"he unfortunately has no credibility regarding any individual's future plans. I don't know why he writes posts like this... his prognostication abilities aren't worth anything."
Amen. You are only as good as your last post and he... well... I wouldn't ask him for the time.![]()
