When will Clear Channel Syracuse flip to "MEGA 105.1," all Latino hip-hop and reggaeton?
Couldn't do much worse than the current format (#18 station in a 20 station market.) Forget the signal excuse; they are getting beaten by Utica and Pulaski signals. Boy did they get it right when they named it the Dog. LOL

And how about KRock in the Spring? Lost to 95X, B104.7, and Hot 107 in KRock's target demo Men 18-34! What about all the bravado about how KRock was going to kill 95X, "watch them go country etc etc etc." Wrong...the early adopters are already listening to 95X more than KRock. That is not awesome for donut boy on Walton St.
If Galaxy ever really wants to take a bite out of B104.7, they should move the WSCP format to 100.9/106.5. Make the playing field a little closer to even.

Huge 25-54 TSL increases for 95X. Does anyone really think TK's additional cume will stay there? That's what they will tell the sales staff, but careful study of the numbers says no. (Of course Galaxy could spend another 70k on TV every book....yeah that's it...more monkeys!)

If "early adopters" you mean "little kids", then yes you are right. Have fun with all that beer cash coming to you over those "early adopters". Hey, Congrats!

If I were you, I'd be more worried about Clear Channel taking a hit bro. It's too bad that married woman you've been seeing doesn't live in the area, she was over 25 ... just over 25. It would have been nice to have her around to consol you tonight.

Whoa. 95X was # 4 Men 25-54 in Winter. Now it's # 3. TSL doubled.
You don't think they can make money with # 3 Men 25-54 total week? That's only the first full book with their new morning show. All you have to do is listen and you know which morning show will keep growing.

Yeah, neither of them... Beaner and Ken is STILL the most unfunny morning show I've ever heard in this market, and that includes Ted & Amy...

Plus we said ADULTS 25-54,you know the money demo?How did 95X do there?.
95X is in the toilet financially.This book will continue the trend.

It's a marathon, not a sprint, moron. Two nice up months, good growth 25-54 and WBBS trending down. All this with no marketing. It'll be good for 4 share before too long.

Oh, and SCP is listenable, which is more than I can say for B104. They keep sounding worse every day. Ask Lauber when he's going to replace all the 5 plus year old imaging. Oh, sorry. That would take some effort and creativity.

I agree somewhat with the B104 imaging, but have heard some different stuff when in town... numbers I saw today didn't show much if any of a change for 'SCP. IS there anybody really spending much on marketing now a days? 'BBS did drop a little, but this is the book they usually do.. for what ever reason. John Paul mentioned that RJ tried for the Buffalo PD position .. already thinking about jumping ship? Life is good here in Rochester..

Yeah,CC really took a hit in the all important SPRING book,and yet,we're still kicking Galaxys ass for the millionth book in a row.

Well, radio vet. Kudus for doing some digging, but you've put a little spin on the story. I got the scoop from R.J.'s brother in law a few months back- Yes, he and John Paul are friends and yes, John called him about the gig. Apparently, B104's consultant works with the Buffalo station and decided it might be nice to send him out of the market. Lauber and the consultant called the Bufallo GM, who in turn called RJ.

He wasn't interested since the GM has a reputation for being a little Napolean and has blown out a couple of his friends over the years. RJ actually cautioned the guy who did take the job (RD or RW something or other) from accepting the gig. I guess RD/RW was also a country PD for Saga and RJ knows him really well.

And yes, SCP looks flat. But after retooling the station and pissing away half the geriatric cume, the first spring phase was quite soft. However the 2nd two months were up nicely. One month killed them. Check out the extraps after July is released and they drop the bad month. Betcha it'll look better. RJ isn't going anywhere and I give him credit for doing the best he can with a rimshotter.
