Ticket Campout

I'm sure Corby will make an ass of himself again.

Based on the weather forecast Junior read for the campsite this morning, looks like they're going to Possum Kingdom. They're going way out of the area, but the Musers used to do their bike ride out there.

I was thinking PK as well since Jub mentioned being out that way last week. Also wondered about Mineral Wells State Park since they said they were about 10 miles from the closest town.

This morning they're talking about sleeping in cabins since it got so chilly overnight.

They're at a private campsite with cabins. In fact, Rhynes got caught going to a cabin to sleep and was sentenced to an Hour of Power. He's now trying to recite the presidents with mixed results.
Corby is a no-show on Night 2 so far, which is a supreme disappointment.

Not far at all from Possum Kingdom, so my guess was close.

I would've had to go before the kangaroo court there, because I'd be sneaking off to eat at Mary's.

Like 'em or not, they still get theatre-of-the-mind over there. One of the last bastions of creativity on the dial. And they've managed to escape obscenity complaints to the FCC for 17 years too!

I whole-heartedly agree. This station is the blueprint of how to operate a successful radio station! With events like the campout, TicketStock, and my favorite: White Elephant Day, they know how to keep it fresh and interesting. It makes me sad that no other station in this market can figure that out. Here's a hint: voice-tracking and syndication are NOT in the equation if you want to be successful.

The Ticket has managed to make a station consistently sound fresh and inovative even in a sports format. It really is something that has tried to be duplicated elsewhere, but it just can't be done. It's one of a kind .
