Just a thought from the cheap seats, but if a station is as successful as KTCK, then why can't they keep producers and board ops? Then, they never reveal what happened, only what creates superb on-air drops...er...uh...broadcasting? Certainly the turnover isn't because of pay grade? And we can't blame CUMELESS because this happened well before they took the helm. Thoughts?

Same as everywhere else ... producers and board ops are the low men on the totem pole and barely make enough to scrape by on. It's not exactly only a Ticket phenomenon.

What do you consider high turnover? After a quick look at their website, and off the top of me head, Fernandez has been producing mornings since their start, hasn't he? I know he was Bayliss's producer early on...Frito has been with Norm since his move from KLIF, and that's been what...at least 5 years? And didn't Danny Bayliss replace Catlin almost 5 years ago? I don't know how long Gribble has been there, but considering the other 3, can you really say that they have a turnover issue?

And as for board-ops, it IS the entry level position...i remember talking to Kevin Fox at a stars game after he left there- he'd pretty well topped out on the salary scale and had no where "up" to go there...

If I recall correctly, the Ticket's morning boardop has been around for quite awhile.

And traffic reporters make a couple hundred more, eh? ;)

Judging by the level of on-the air talent or lack therof, there should be total turnover there.

I disagree. They might not be your cup o' tea but the Ticket is the best at what it does. It has guy talk down to a science and the talent, save Norm who is the lone sportsaholic show, fits KTCK's mission statement to a tee.
