Tiger Woods TV Press Conference

So it's a given it'll be on Fox News, CNN, The Golf Channel, and
ESPN through ESPN99, but is it big enough for ABC, CBS and NBC
to preempt daytime and wreak havoc on various time zones?

My guess would be no it isn't big enough to preempt regular programming. Especially since the whole thing appears to be very controlled and scripted. However, the network morning news shows (taped) will still be running on the west coast, so who knows.

NBC 7 Boston is going to air it.

MSNBC will show it too; of course, it won't get a lot of viewers...

You know someone will post this on "You Tube"

And depending on the feed being uploaded, might be "removed due to a copyright claim."

Yawn. And yet KPNX 12 Mesa/Phoenix is showing it live.

So in addition to the usual--and mandatory--"I apologize to anyone
who may have been offended" (do you include your wife in that, Tiger?),
maybe he'll also announce if he's showing up at the Garbage Truck
Phoenix Open the following week...hence, your local connection.

(These sponsorships just keep getting weirder. ;))

This is like the State of The Union address ! ABC,NBC, and CBS will Broadcast this .

YouTube doesn't use that term anymore; it's now "This video contains content from (insert company), who has decided to block it (in your country".

As for the entertainment news shows? Of course Diane Dimond will be on the beat for "Entertainment Tonight"; "Access Hollywood" may send Tony Potts.

Oh, and is BET airing the press conference as well?

And as for Canada? Since the CTV networks (including TSN) are wall-to-wall Winter Olympics, CBC News Network and probably Global may be the only ones airing it live; TSN may follow suit on tape delay depending on their schedule.

CTV announced several times tonight they will be carrying the news conference live tomorrow morning. Since the Olympics are on the west coast, it will be at 8 AM there, before there's any Olympic competition.

I read that while one camera was being allowed for the press conference, the video was being made available via satellite for broadcasters to pick up.

I believe Tiger is only doing this to boost his approval rating...

In a related story, three golf journalists are "boycotting" the event due to the fact that there will not be a question-and-answer period following Tiger's address.
