If Tiger hits a putt short and utters " hit it you pu$$Y" or hits a drive into the woods and utters "you stupid $hit" that's oK, to me it's NOT profanity. He's simply venting steam at himself. Profanity is simply taking the Lords name in vain and can include the favoritte utterances of many Midwesteners "jeez." To some folks, T.W's act is HIGHLY offensive, particularly from one of the greatest athletes in the last 100 years.
If T.W's profanity upsets a single person, than he should stop or continue to be called on it. Kudos to Miller.
But Johnny Miller has a bad habit of saying that a player that shoots even par on a day where everyone else is shooting really low scores is being "run over" by the field. He says that constantly. It might not bother you, but I'm sure it bothers some people who are in wheelchairs as a result of being hit by a car. But NBC hasn't called him on this.
