Tim Jeffreys Upped To PD At KFOX

I suggest upper management take a pay cut and then hire back Laurie Robert's and other's that were laid off. It's the least they could do for someone who's worked so many year's in this market.I'm boycotting this station and it's advertiser's until they rehire the people they let go.

I took note's.Some are:Ford,H&r Block,Skip's Tire's,Sun Wize Solar System's,University Electric Appliance's,Orchard Supply Hardware.

hopefully hes a better PD than a jock.. for someone with all that exp and history, total suckage

It was noted in the ba.broadcast Usenet group that there is a new jock at 98.5 KFOX, starting yesterday, taking over Laurie Roberts' old slot.

The jock is "Laura Steele," who is apparently voicetracking from Parts Unknown. Her photo and "blog" is the same at 99.7 The Fox (WRFX) in Charlotte, NC...

...and the same at Q95 in Indianapolis:

...and now the same at 98.5 KFOX in San Jose:

LAURA STEELE 101

My story begins in Indianapolis, Indiana where I was brought into the world in 1965. Fine...you trying to do the math??? I am 43 and proud of it:)

From the Clear Channel Operating Manual: Why do real "live and local" when you can do pretend "live and local" on the cheap? Why hire three jocks when one will do? Why develop local talent when you can just plug-and-play the same generic cookie-cutter jock any place in America?

Why is radio dying? Because radio is killing itself from within.

And now they're adding a layer of 40 bean counters to replace all the real employees they laid off. See Tom Taylor's column here at Radio-Info this morning. Bet they'll be really entertaining and know how to go out and close clients...much better than the talent and sellers that got blown out.
