Tim McGraw sponsorship

The latest word about him is the deal that he has made with Planet Fitness. The song that put him on the musical map "Indian Outlaw" that is course, is now 30 years old. If retiring from music is what's on his mind these days, he couldn't have picked a better way to make it happen because people are going to hate him for hooking up with such a controversial company.

God bless you and him always!!!

Holly (a girl who loves plenty of his songs, but can't fault whoever is mad at him)

How dare a well-known politically liberal Country music star partner with an inclusive, non-discriminatory company to raise money for a charity helping children!? BOYCOTT!

^^^ Even if money is being raised for a children's benefit, I guess that certain people will not consider that enough to erase other things that are as clear as crystal glass in their opinion and in a way, they could be right. When a positive is multiplied by a negative, a positive is not what your product is going to be. In other words, the negative will be what dominates no matter what.

God bless you and Tim and the kids always!!!

Holly

Holly,

Howdy from the Lone Star State. Could you do me a big favor, darling? Please, please, pretty please, don't title a topic with just a proper name and nothing else. My first thought was "Holy đź’©, Tim McGraw is dead." Bless your heart, but I simply can't handle my own ticker stopping like that anymore, and I bet I ain't the only one that has that first reaction to seeing Tim McGraw's name on this site, either.

Thanks for your understanding,

The guy in last place from East Texas

BTW this deal with Planet Fitness was announced in January:

They have sponsored his current tour all year.

I guess the criticism is that Planet Fitness became involved in the trans debate.

Planet Fitness was under fire earlier this year for revoking a woman's membership after she photographed a trans member “shaving in the women’s bathroom.” The fitness giant released a statement calling its gyms a “judgement-free zone” amid the boycott calls on social media.

I do apologize. After the way that Toby Keith made the headlines earlier this year, I totally get where you are coming from.

God bless you and his family always!!!

Holly (a girl who will forever miss him too)

Tim McGraw is wonderful.
He's come a long, long way from "Indian Outlaw," for sure. He sings mature, reflective songs befitting his senior status in the genre, and continues to have radio's support. I can see him going into the Country Music Hall of Fame within the next few years.
