Anyone know why weatherman Tim Ross from News Channel 4 is resigning? Is he moving to a better paying gig? I always liked his style. Very comfortable and friendly with some sillyness too. He will be missed in the market if he is infact moving.

Well, I'm glad you liked him and I agree that he had a relaxed style but I think he's was irritating and he tried too hard to be funny. Also, he often referred to him in the 3rd person as "Mr. Tim." Grow up pal (Mr. Tim that is). Anybody who would quit a job when he was able to be that close to the beautiful Holly Thompson every day is nuts anyway.

I believe he's ready to retire from the early mornings. Sorry, 46radiofan, you come off as an old fuddy-duddy, because Mr. Tim was only weathercaster in left in town who made the presentation bright and sunny. Everyone else is either a dreary day or a severe thunderstorm.

Has anyone seen his resignation....or did he "leave to seek other opportunities?"
In the old radio world....there's a huge difference.
I have a good friend who left to seek other opportunites with a 9 month severance package. Think this person would say anything different while collecting full salary and benefits?

Mr. Tim was toned down from the days he was on Fox 17, I found him annoying on 17 but enjoyed him on 4. I do agree with 46 on one thing, I would volunteer to work at channel 4 if I could be around Holly Thompson.

Seems that channel 2 should send one of their weather people over to channel 4. 2 no longer has a weekend morning newscast, and they haven't had a noon newscast in several years. So they really don't have much for Davis Nolan to do during the week, except update Nashville WX.

While Ross was there, he was always Holly Thompson's co-host on More at Mid-Day. Now she doesn't have a co-host. What's up with that? Even on Tim's days off, the meteorologist on duty would still serve as co-host. Sometimes that would even be Tim himself, even though he had not done the weather on that day's noon newscast. I kinda got the feeling that More at Midday was taped earlier that same day, and not presented "live" as they tried to make it appear. Anyway, Tim's co-hosting gave the show a male perspective. And of course, a break for the weather.

Holly doesn't need a Co-Goddess..she can handle that well on her own.
