Tim White

Several unconfirmed reports are surfacing that longtime Buffalo Radio talent Tim White (WJYE, WBLK, etc) has passed Away due to complications of Kidney Failure. I've met Tim several times over the course of my pennance at CBS/Infinity/Regent. Always a great guy to talk with.

Has anyone heard or seen local coverage yet?

Your penance? Sounds like where you worked was some sort of punishment for some hideous crime. I never had the pleasure of being acquainted with Mr. White either by listening to him on the radio or meeting him in person. Thoughts and prayers go out to his family.

Tim White: Always a smile, funny story and positive attitude. A hearty laugh and lots of energy. Eternal peace to him and grace to his family.

I had the pleasure of working with Tim while he was at WECK ... and then I had the pleasure of just being his friend when he moved to Q after dark. He used to love this little bar called Flynn's. It was mainly a theatre hang out... the only place around that had show tunes on the juke box. I used to love it when Tim would start singing along with "Luck Be A Lady." I can't ever remember Tim without a smile or a kind word. He was a wonderful man and I will miss him.

He will be missed by a LOT of people, both in theater and in radio.
I, too, had a chance to meet him during his Q after dark years, and I have the same experiences - sweet man, always had a laugh (even when his health was turning) and always supportive and positive of his fellow staffers.

God be with you, Tim...

Damn, Tim just wrote this on my Facebook wall on Friday... my sign off line:

re: Hello
Chuck, As a friend of mine once said..."Chuck you Laker!"...

He was always great to be around, our thoughts and prayers are with him and his family.
