TIM & WILLY

Congratulations, Tara Hitchcock, you no-talent hack!!! Way to blow Tim & Willy's plans!!! You are a self-involved, pompous idiot. Tim & Willy have given a lot to this market & deserved to leave on their own terms & in their own way...and YOU BLEW IT.
God are you DUMB.

Could they go to KMLE?

Given that the latest trends (yeah, they're trends, but...) show KMLE about a full point behind KNIX in the 12+, anything could happen. But I bet Pratt brings in a lot of bucks for CBS and Big Shoe Stu is a PM drive legend who also probably bills well, so moving Partt there to make room for T&W doesn't make a lot of sense. Unless, of course, the CBS brass thinks T & W could do much better.

Don't forget that Tim and Willy have not always been country. They're too old to work a CHR show, but they could fit in some other formats. They would sound very nice on The Peak.

How's about the duo host a lifestyle-oriented gabfest, 7p-10p weekdays on 92.3 FM? ;) ;) ;)

Or blow out Glen Beck 12n-3p to make room for the country slickers? ;) ;) ;)

Gideeup pardner!!

It wouldn't surprise me a bit if this thought entered the
Master Blogger's mind at least once today:

"Hmmm, Arizona's Morning Snooze with Tim & Willy..."

>>There's something Brandmeier-esque about this nom-de-radio.

>>Was Willy part of Johnny B's show and/or band years ago?

Yes, he was. One of The Leisure Suits.

Now I know why I never listened.

Willy De Loon, oh the sophisticated comedy that must have come from that show.

Someone call Harvard...

Though this may come as quite a surprise, (it has to us) we want you to know the simple facts and how this has come to be.

We did not quit. We did not get fired. We are not leaving for a better job. This was not about money or any fancy perks. We simply could not come to terms with the station’s parent company- Clear Channel Communications over the length of a new contract. We hold no grudges with the guys who had to make this difficult decision and we leave feeling very proud of the work we were privileged to do on this legendary station.

It’s impossible to describe our feelings. Leaving is extremely difficult. We’ve been blessed with an incredible richness of great listeners, loyal fans and sincere friendships. You’ve given us so many unbelievable experiences and treated us to greater lives than we ever could have imagined or certainly deserved. There’s no way we could ever thank you enough for the awesome life you’ve given us.

So what is next? We not quite sure!

We begin the New Year wholeheartedly unemployed for the first time in decades. We hope to see you around town and on 3TV.

Here’s what we’re certain of at this point.

We’re not breaking up. We’re still going to be Tim & Willy. We’ve got plenty of gas in the tank (plus Willy’s got a brand new hip that should be good for at least 10 more years!)

We do not wish to leave Phoenix. We hope to be back on the airwaves with you as soon as we can. We’ll be looking for the perfect place for you to hear us until our food and ammunition run out.

We will continue to work hard with The Tim & Willy Kid’s FunDation, serving the needs of underprivileged kids around our town.

You can always find out the latest news and straight scoop about us here at www.timandwilly.com. Also at www.myspace.com/timandwilly. We also plan to release a new CD in 2008.

We’ll continue to sing with the All Earl Band around town. Watch for us to play somewhere near you- soon!

We will plan on seeing you next holiday season with another Tim & Willy Christmas Breakfast Show @ Night.

We love you all. We will be with you here and someday on the radio again!

Tim & Willy

Ben Campbell Joins 102.5 KNIX

Ben Campbell of “Ben and Brian” returns to Phoenix for Mornings on the market’s leading Country station

December 19, 2007

Clear Channel Radio/Phoenix Vice-President and Market Manager Joe Puglise announced today that Ben Campbell, the comedic mind behind the highly acclaimed “Ben and Brian Morning Show” will join the staff of KNIX-FM as morning show co-host.

“KNIX is a storied and legacy brand in both this market and entire nation, and its call letters conjure images of excellence that transcend the format. With our most sincere thanks and appreciation to our previous morning tandem that has decided to pursue other options, we could not be more excited to return Ben Campbell to his rightful home – Doing mornings on the top rated country station in Phoenix. He left town six years ago on top of the Phoenix country music mountain, and he returns, ironically, in a similar fashion” said Puglise.

Ben co-hosted the outrageously popular “Ben and Brian Morning Show” on KMLE-FM, Phoenix, from 1998 to 2001 before moving to Washington D.C to wake up the nation’s capital on WMZQ-FM. He and his family returned to Arizona earlier this year to reestablish their Valley roots and seek out his next adventure in radio.

Campbell admits, “There’s nothing cooler than getting to do what you love for a living, but getting the opportunity to do it again in this city, on KNIX, is as good as it gets. Thank you Santa Claus!”

A master impressionist, Campbell enjoys letting his listeners in on the fun, whether by “punking” celebrities, writing and performing clever song parodies, or landing in the middle of hot topics by impersonating politicians, entertainers, and athletes. Anyone enjoying their 15 minutes of fame is fair game for Ben’s uncanny impressions.

While in Washington, Ben also co-hosted the weekly “Ben & Brian’s Big Top 20 Countdown” for Premiere Radio Networks, heard on over 100 radio stations across the US and Canada.

Campbell will begin waking up the Valley with great country music and his award-winning sense of humor on KNIX on January, 7th 2008.

Questions of popularity aside, didn't Ben and Brian start in 1996?
