Time For A New Roll Call-Trading Status!

Ok folks, it's that time again...fall in for Roll Call! Are you trading or not, and if so, what's your limit. If not, when will you resume? Please state your area, media you can record on, and what your wants are.

I'm currently trading, with a soft ceiling of 6 airchecks. I can record on cassette, CD or MD. My wants are many, needs are few. I like Classic 70's Top 40 stations, and to hear current stations. Right now I'm looking for WBLI from the 70's and 80's. ( www.bigappleairchecks.com in New York!) Thanks, and have a great weekend!<P ID="signature">______________

Patrick in Memphis here. I'm always trading, but can only do cassettes. I have a website at http://www.geocities.com/honkeyblues/. Check it out to see what I have. I'm looking for nearly everything, but especially non-commercial stations, oldies stations that stop at '74 or earlier with their playlist, modern rock airchecks from '96 or earlier, classic 60's stuff, and AM stations playing music in English that's not gospel or from a satellite dish. If you've got anything from Fayetteville, AR from before 1998, I'd flip out for that. My limit is around 8 tapes.

I'm definitely trading! No fixed limit, though huge trades may take a few weeks. I'm interested in any 50s/60s/early 70s unscoped airchecks, and if they're KHJ, WCFL, or KOMA all the better. I can record on cd or cassette.

Here's a (mostly) updated list: http://www.geocities.com/mcrics/

take care!

Name: John
Status: semi-retired trader. That's more that I haven't listened to more than a few airchecks that I've traded for in the past several years. When will I resume full time?? When Tyler goes off to college in 2019.
Wants: WPIX-FM from 1970-1975
Likes: CHR Stations with jingles and/or high energy jocks from the 80s.
Format preferences: 80s CHR
Limits: preferably 1 or 2... I will do up to 4 under special circumstances.
Media: cassette, CD (sometimes/have to record and burn from computer), MP3
Location: Northwest NJ. With my outdoor antenna, I can get NYC, Southern NY, Eastern PA (including Poconos, Allentown, Philadelphia) to Central NJ (Trenton area).
Other: I travel via car daily and can record cassette on a Sony walkman. Front end is a little weak, so I need a strong signal to have a successful record. I am always driving in North/Central NJ and to the western Phila suburbs. Occasionally Harrisburg PA. I also travel around the US several times a year. If you're interested where I'll be next, send me an email and ask Where's Waldo? :) My inlaws live west of Boston, so can record Boston, Worcester, Providence while there.
But I wanna trade with you?: I do do trades, but very slowly. If that's ok with you, send me an email. I much prefer sending you an MP3 via yousendit.com

I like to trade no more than six 45 minute cassettes at a time. I am in Austin, Texas and get airchecks from all over the country.

I am only committed to a two tape trade right now. Someone wants WKTU from 1979 and an aircheck of my disco show from 1998 here in Austin on KOOP.

I just received an hour of Bob-FM Norfolk. I think Bob is better than any of the Jack stations.

I'm in the process of moving (still Dallas -- from Far North Dallas to north of downtown), so I am not currently trading. My new home won't be finish until the end of October, so it will probably be early November before I resume trading since most of my stuff is in storage and I'm in a temporary space now.

I can do CDs or tapes -- preference is CDs (probably will have to really shift to that in the new place since it is slightly smaller than my old place and the CDs are much easier to store).

Generally like top 40, country, rock/modern, or unusual outlets (Americana, blues, etc.). Pretty open to most markets, but particularly like the South (Carolinas over to Texas).

Collection and contact: http://users4.ev1.net/~chipk/ac/airchecks.html

I probably will need to adjust the tapeables list after I move...new place is on the 16th floor of a high-rise, so some of the rimshot AMs will likely be gone.

St. Louis market here

I'm John from near St. Louis. I have thousands of airchecks, listed at:

http://www.geocities.com/skim94/

I can do cassette, MD, CD, and mp3. Right now I'm busy with a thousand other things and my site isn't as up to date as usual, but I can take new trades. Email me if interested.

My interests are broad, though I'm not much into scoped or pre-1978 airchecks. I collect a lot of currents.

I'm in the Savannah, Ga. area ... I trade almost exclusively CD/R, altho' I can do cassettes if preferred. I'll accept cassettes or CD in trade, but always standard full-tilt audio. I don't care much for trading in MP3 (I use it only when e-mailing brief aircheck clips).

I'm open to trades, although my priority these days is video - collecting/trading vintage TV broadcasts. My aircheck specialty is the Southeastern U.S., especially the Deep South states - Alabama, Georgia, Mississippi, South Carolina, and the Florida panhandle - also Arkansas, Tennessee, and southeast Missouri.

Current radio is of little to no interest, with exceptions below (of course I'll gladly record any area station for trades).

WANTS:
* Any vintage (i.e. pre-early '80s) Deep South airchecks, scoped or unscoped. I'm selective about later airchecks - depends on station and/or market.

* Jingle packages for stations in the Deep South, even the Pepper-Tanner cheese. :) Otherwise I don't specialize in jingle collecting and have little to no interest in jingles outside my 'area of specialty' (see above).

* MOR and "Chicken Rock" stations of the '60s and early '70s, regardless of region. For some twisted reason I've developed an interest in that saccharine.

* Any present-day "unique" station -- AM stations still programming a live music format, live oldies formats with 'retro' presentations (reverb, vintage jingles, etc.), eclectic-flavored commercial stations -- regardless of region.

* Long-form network radio shows in the '50s-'70s: "CBS Radio Mystery Theater", "Arthur Godfrey", "House Party", "Breakfast Club", and especially (!) airchecks of the NBC weekend program "Monitor."

If you have any of the above, I'm always interested in trading. My webpage can be found here:
