Time to bring back 102 JAMZ?

Anyone here think Audacy should trash the alternative on 101.9 and bring back 102 JAMZ as a 90's throwback station? Seems to me that the audience is out there based on what 104.5 The Beat has shown in ratings with 250 watts following the sale of Power 95.3 and now once again following the demise of Fly 103.1. Add in the audience Star 94.5 has and it sure seems like it's worth a shot. Let's be honest, Fly wasn't programmed properly and wasn't gonna do anything much against XL. However, Power 95.3 was and the original 102 Jamz many years before that. Audacy has already flipped Power 96 in Miami back to gold based throwbacks so why not do the same thing in Orlando with a proven brand with the GenX audience? They're already topping the market with Sunny so why not grab some more of that demo with Jamz? Seems to me 101.9 is the weak link in the cluster between Mix and Sunny. Orlando is no longer a rock market and we all know the younger skewing stations are really struggling nationwide. I mean... even the WJHM calls letters are available. BUT... let's be clear... bring it back properly. Personality, promotions, and programming that reminds the listener of what radio was.... oh wait, there I go thinking again. Anyway, just a thought.

It would be nice. But you would need the right team brought in to make it successful.

Btw the other 102 Jamz in Greensboro NC is still around and doing extremely well in their market.

Audacy may just be satisfied with Sunny and Mix.

If I could play some true hip hop that 102 Jamz did during this golden era, I'd like to help them out, if they want to go this direction. I am just an email or phone call away.
As a listener, as long as they keep the airhorns & laser SFX locked in a soundproof safe during mix shows, I'd become a dedicated listener.
If they want to flip it to a Rhythmic Variety station, like a "Jack FM", but with Dance, R&B, Hip-Hop, & other genres, there is a list of songs that does well in my radio show that I keep in rotation for our Orlando crowd after 19+ years of real-time on-air testing. No consultants needed if they hire me. Whether that's a good or bad business decision is up for debate, so I may still be a sitting duck.
I just got laid off 2 weeks ago (a local record store I worked at is about to be sold), so right now is a good time to hit me up while I'm actively searching for some new income. iHeartMedia just sent me a rejection letter. Still pondering on whether I should apply to that position that replaces Domino. That's a pretty big spot to fill.

Is 101.9 doing decent in the ratings? If not, are they attracting the necessary demos sales wise?

Sounds like a good move on paper. If 101.9 is not up to par with what’s expected. I looked at their playlist and they seem to have a good selection of Alternative tbf.
