"Jingo Jango" - Bert Kampfaert (See YouTube---the title may not be familiar, at least not to me, but it'll hit ya if you are > 40.)

And, speaking of Mason Williams, who could forget his supercharged Classical Gas, 1968 ?!LARadioRewind said:I've never been a fan of Dixieland jazz but I've always loved the Village Stompers' Washington Square. The 1963 hit is seldom heard anymore. Another great instrumental---one that is never heard anymore...and wasn't even played much in 1969 either---is Mason Williams' Greensleeves, an English melody from 1580. (The 19th-century Christmas song What Child Is This used the same tune.)
LARadioRewind said:Mason managed to record that song---and it became a #2 hit in 1968 and would win a Grammy award---but he didn't feel that he knew it well enough to play it live on The Smothers Brothers Comedy Hour. (Williams was the series' head writer.)
When he appeared on the program, he only pretended to play Classical Gas---the audience was hearing the recording.
Rinky Dink... Happy Organ... Am I the only one wondering...LARadioRewind said:Mason "performed" Classical Gas on the Smothers Brothers' program of February 25, 1968. The song, which would soon be released as a single, was on his just-released album The Mason Williams Phonograph Record. Many years ago, Tom and Dick recorded new introductions for the programs when they were re-run on the E! Network and Tom told the "guitar-synching" story.
Another classic (no pun intended) instrumental is 1962's Rinky Dink by Dave "Baby" Cortez, who was smart enough to not use his real name of David Cortez Clowney and had first charted in 1959 with The Happy Organ, which went to number one and is also a classic.
