Times and News Publishing Company, which owns the Gettysburg Times, WGTY and WGET has announced a pending sale of the Gettysburg Times to George and Marleen Sample of Sample Media Group. Times and News says they plan on keeping WGTY and WGET but I wonder if this split of the company is only a first step which will lead to the radio stations also being for sale. Times and News Publishing Company's president, Phil Jones, passed away last year and his children are now running the company.
