Tip of the hat to KTTF

KTTF 95.3 seems to have solved its audio problems. Sounded pretty good with full range audio when I listened on my evening commute yesterday. Previously it had sounded like someone was holding a mic up to an AM radio.

And......I spoke too soon. KTTF is back to its usual crummy audio quality Wednesday evening.

Memo to KTTF: Whatever you were doing with the audio Tuesday evening you should continue to do in the future. Otherwise the station is painful to listen to.

 Thanks for the report Frog. KTTF having problems with internet connection, been working with City IT and squirrels at ATT trying to correct multiple problems.
When You gave the good report it was simulcasting magnolia KYBY when STL was down, which tells me everything at transmitter is OK.
problem is at the studio, Trying to drain the swamp but the gators keep biting me on the BUTT. what is Your drive time and I will run a test at studio to narrow down the problem some more.

It was at various checks between 6 and 7pm Tuesday evening when I noted the good audio quality. Usually my evening commute is a little later, but traffic has been lighter this week.

I did notice that KTTF was in dead air Wednesday morning around 7:40am.

 Frog Wednesday We had both main and back up simulcast STLs out of service at the same time, probably stay on simulcast until We can get data drop out problem solved, and figure out where the program audio is going South at the studio.

 Hey Frog KTTF playing Christmas music tonight wonder how it sounds if You have the time to check it out and can pick it up. will play High School Christmas concert later starting at 6 PM

Seems the new translator(s) are really slicing in to the coverage the station once had. No longer heard in Sugarland and Missouri City, a long stretch for a LPFM in the first place but possible on a good clear frequency. At 529 and The Grand Parkway, KTTF is gone. I'm sure that is fine with them as their focus is on Tomball exclusively.

Tried listening along 249 and it took to the Louetta exit until KTTF signal got clean...two translator crushing the coverage.
