I want to know if anyone out there is as fed up as I am about being led around in the dark by people who seem to be in the dark when it comes to running a radio station. Please post your comments, I'd love to read them. Thanks

How do you know when someone else is in the dark?

How do you know when you are reading someone who is so advanced that it puts YOU in the dark?

Who do me appoint as deputy sherrif to enforce the "absence of darkness" rule?

How do people work their way out of their darkness if we don't make them welcome here while their adult feathers grow into place?

Actually, I am in the dark. I just got up to go to the bathroom.
 
Take over and get the job done yourself, that's what I've always done and trust me I've worked under some TRUE nuts in radio and television...
 
Radio is full of big egos and weird personalities. It is part of the business. Every once in a while, you get to work for truly intelligent and competitent people. But realize that not every station is run great or they would be more highly rated. I notice MOST of the weirdness is in the poorly run, lower rated stations. Not to say, some of the high rated stations are devoid of weirdness.
 
Radio_head nailed it. YOU lead, whether they get it or not.
Respect must still be shown if possible while following your own lead.
Do what you do best, and can do best in your situation.
Eventually someone who recognizes this will reward you, or
you will leave in hopes in finding recognition for your talent.

I am reminded of 1987, when a supervisor said, "Don't think! Just do what I tell you to do!"
This was a galvanizing moment.
In a second, I thought, "gosh, I can just as easy find someone who is looking for someone who will think."
In this moment, I became "sucessful".
