Tiuana TV stations in San Diego

Just wondering, how is the reception for Tijuana stations in San Diego, can they picked up these stations.

XHTJB 3
XETV FOX 6
XEWT 12
XHTIT 21
XHJK 27
XHAS 33
XHBJ 45
XHDTV MNT 49
XHUAA 57

Also, is this true? I heard people having a hard time picking up Channel 3 & Channel 49 in San Diego?

Don't know about the others, but XETV and XEWT can be easily picked up almost anywhere in the SD market (or ate least in the city). Also, XHAS as well, though they have an American LPTV that repeats the signal on channel 46 (don't know the calls, though).

In my opinion, XHTJB is broadcasting at a lower power, due to XHBC in Mexicali (also on 3). As for XHDTV, the tranny is based in Tecate, and broadcasting at a lower power.

TJ TV in SD: Americanos, por favor

Cox Cable carries Fox 6, MyTV13 (XDTV-49), Telemundo 33 (XHAS) and Televisa (XEWT-12) throughout San Diego County. The first 3 stations target San Diego; XEWT has a San Diego sales office and runs ads from the US.

DirecTV includes Fox 6 and MyTV13 with San Diego locals.

The other TJ stations target Mexico only, thus they are not carried by Cox Cable or DirecTV.

San Diego has very high cable/satellite penetration. If you're watching TV with an antenna in America's Finest City you're either retarded or in the poorhouse.

That poster hates everyone so just ignore him.
Dude! I'm asking about San Diego market because I'm courious (sp.) about it. If you don't like what I post, then don't read it! I'm asking about Tijuana TV stations in San Diego, because it hardly ever mentions in San Diego TV. I just want to know if people can recieved Tijuana tv station in San Diego clearly. I haven't been to San Diego before so I don't know. All I know is people complained about XHDTV receptions.

That is completely uncalled for. The way those terms were used was derogetory and unnecessary for an otherwise on-target post. I know more than a few college professors in the San Diego area who can afford lots of things, but who do not have cable.

While I lived in San Diego, I could afford Cable, but found better ways to spend my money. Also, when we lived in University City, and later Pacific Beach, there was no need for cable, reception came in very well.

So those comments are rude, uncalled for, insensitive, and unacceptable.

Agreed! I pay for ComCast cable in San Francisco, and really have no complaints about the service. I love On Demand, and the channel line up and reception are fine. Given the city's hilly topography, I couldn't get reception in my neighborhood without cable or satellite. But I spend a little under $100 a month - over $1,000 every year....I won't do the math for how much I've spent over the last decade, because I don't want to think about it.

That's a lot of $$. I have a friend in a good reception area who still gets his TV over the air...he's a frugal guy - a high school teacher who also buys used cars he fixes himself. But he takes really great vacations all over the world that I couldn't begin to afford. And to think he's missing the 24/7 CNN and FoxNews coverage on OJ Simpson and Brittany Spears, the poor guy!

It's all about what you want to spend your hard earned dollars on.

Re: Tiuana TV stations in the High Desert

Here in the High Desert (Lancaster), Channels 6,8,10,12 came in great until HDTV took over CH 8 & 10. at one time I use to watch 6 with a city grade picture in Thousand Oaks, 8, 10, 12 were good "better than the L.A. VHF", I use to also get 69 in Thousand Oaks with a fair picture. I am able to get all the full power San Diego & TJ channels except CH 3 in Santa Barbara on a pocket TV.
