Tivo alert: The "Man from U.N.C.L.E" pilot coming up!

Wednesday, November 9, at 8 p.m. eastern, on American Life TV.
(Digital cable-not on satellite)

From the American Life website... http://www.americanlifetv.com/

"This never-before-seen pilot premieres November 9th at 8PM ET (with a repeat at 11:30PM ET)
Two secret agents working under the aegis of the United Network Command for Law and Enforcement (U.N.C.L.E.) and must defend the leader of a newly independent nation...while dealing with a beautiful, female secret agent. Stars, David McCallum, and Robert Vaughn."

Note: The website promo says "9 pm", but the daily schedule on the site and the on-air promos say 8pm. As the next program, "Girl from U.N.C.L.E." is listed as starting at 9:30, I'm guessing the U.N.C.L.E. pilot begins at 8.
______________
"What's That?" "French Horns!"

Maybe by the time American Life repeats the pilot (which, inevitably, they will do at some point) DirecTV will wise up and add the channel.
______________

Re: DirecTV

Apparently getting a channel on DirecTV (owned now by News Corp) is like getting shelf space at the supermarket: It costs money. American Life was previously the Nostalgia Channel. They've been around (as I recall) close to 15 years. And DirecTV has not nibbled (neither has Dish - and in my market, neither has Comcast). Actually I'm surprised to learn they are still in business. Haven't heard anything about them in a long time. When they started up they had Spanky McFarland as their spokesrascal. I kept waiting for cable and later satellite to pick it up. Still waiting....

I see ads for different channels saying "write your cable or satellite operator." It doesn't work.
