T.J. Lubinsky announced last night (Nov. 5) that it was his last "Doo Wop Gold" show on Sirius. It was a good, live request show for a specialized niche of the oldies format playing both hits and more rare recordings. It leaves Sirius Gold with 2 live hosted shows from the Rock & Roll Hall of Fame 4 days a week for a couple hours; the rest of the station is music without jocks (none live or VT). Wonder if Sirius Gold will survive the upcoming changes? I prefer it to a "'50's channel" because it incorporates the whole early r&r era up to the pre-Beatles era. I guess we'll see what happens with all the music channels, but I hate to see the live shows cancelled.
