Only station that is Number 2 in Adults 25-54 and Number 2 Adults 18-49.

Re: Sorry to hear about the young man that died in the above post

You would think that 95x would ask TK's mid-day man back. That would be a good move, bud did they like Dave in the building?<P ID="signature">______________

*LOL*
Just like eds weasels to crow about being number TWO!!!!
BTW,CC number 1 again,in every demo,in every daypart.
*LOL*
NUMBER 1,NOT number 2...*LOL*

Beaner and Ken are the only...

ONLY Stern replacement show to go UP in ratings in AMERICA

Ummmm,not exactly.

> ONLY Stern replacement show to go UP in ratings in AMERICA

That's UP from their own pathetic performance in Winter.NOT up fron Howards last book ,in the Fall.
They are nowhere near that.
But they did beat Scorch,so kudos for that.

Pope has no clue

I realize you have no clue over there at Galaxy and try to shoot down all real facts with your moronic train of thought. Beaner and Ken are the ONLY show in America that has replaced Stern and hasn't gone into the tank. They are gaining every book and unlike other shows who replaced Howard are on the rise. Sure X's numbers went down when they dumped Stern BUT they still beat Krock and look at the Cume in m 18-49... uh ohhhhh look out Galaxy spinsters

Keep playing with krock and The Dead Dog,because that's where the money is!

Re:You lnow you're in trouble when you start mentioning cume.

whats wrong with mentioning cume??? is it BAD to say that MORE people listen to one station than another??? look it up yourself, did Ed buy you guys computers over there yet?

Name your source

I had to make a few phone calls, but I know of at least one other classic rocker in a top 80 market that is #2 in adults 18-49 and adults 25-54. So, are you just throwing BS in the air to see if anybody calls you on it?

Looks like you pooped in your pants again...

Let's show some love here

I notice that you failed to identify the station and did not question the 12+ claim.C'mon Buffalo Breath, lets hear who it is!
Tink about it .A classic rocker with a 6.3 12+,that has oblitrated a 25 year+ heritage rocker.Where else has that happened? Can't you just say,"GREAT JOB"?

Cume is the last defense of failed programmers and news/talk stations.

A little love, a little straight poop

Check 97-Rock in Buffalo - WGRF-FM. They had a 7.3 12+ - a full share higher than TK. They are also #2 in adults 18-49, 25-49, and 25-54. Since they're close to home, I looked there first. I didn't have to check the other 78 markets to show that what you're full of ain't information.

Classic rock and active rock are formats that don't compete directly in most markets. Yes, there's some crossover, but active rock is typically aimed at 18-34, while classic rock usually focuses on 35-49.

Props to TK for doing their job. Looks like their best book in a long time. As the only classic rocker in town, they should do well.

Props to 95X for throwing off the dirt and starting to climb out of the grave that they dug for themselves with their incredibly incompetent handling of the Stern situation. To say that TK "obliterated" them is more of what your pants seem to be full of.

Re:You lnow you're in trouble when you start mentioning cume.

please.. if your crappy sticks could reach people without having to use 9 different frequencies you'd be all over it... beeoch

> First,97 Rock is a great heritage rock station that has veered into every
variety of rock there is.If Rush/Clapton/Petty etc. put out new music,97Rock will feature it.In short, they are a rock station that RIGHT NOW leans classic. That is different than a radio station that only plays classicrock. It's a classic based AOR vs.a classic rock.
Let's discuss "OBLITREATE".When a 6,000 watt station DOUBLES a heritage rocker in Adults 25-54 that is obliteration. When a 6,000 watt OLDER LEANING classic rocker beats a heritage rocker in THEIR target of 18-49 Adults(and beats them badly)THAT is obliteration.
Keep sniffing Citadel's jock,Buffalo Boy

You boys play with Krock in the kiddie pool.

Ignorant (BLEEP)? Let's talk about ignorant

Hold the phone there, Poopy-pants. 97-Rock has been known to play a hot release from a core artist, but they hardly play every variety of rock that there is. You don't hear Prince on 97-Rock. You don't hear John Mayer, Green Day, Foo Fighters, or even Nirvana, Sound Garden, or anything of that ilk on 97-Rock. You do hear lots of Van Halen, Zepplin, Doors, Skynyrd, Stones, Beatles, Who, AC/DC and other classic rock artists. You may hear the occaisional new release from Rush/Clapton/Petty, but only as a feature, and usually on a very limited run. They're target is 25-49 males, with the focus on 35-49. They do very well in that demo, and have done better than expected in 25-34, and even 18-34 in some cases because of their heritage jocks and the variety of music that they play from core classic rock artists.

Citadel also owns WEDG, who plays newer rock and is targeted at 18-34 males. You will hear a variety of newer rock, essentially from the '80s onward, with a concentration on current artists. Once again, they have a very good group of jocks, and are very successful 18-34, especially with males. 95X is much more similar to WEDG than 97-Rock.

Since I don't have the Syracuse numbers at my fingertips, how about giving us the rankings for 18-34 males, and especially the 25-34 males. That's the target audience for 95X. Yes, 95X did better 25-54 with Stern, but those days are over. If TK did well enough 35-49, or 35-54, they would beat 95X 18-49 and 25-54, especially in adults, since a classic rocker is likely to have better female numbers than a station like 95X.

> Let's discuss "OBLITREATE".When a 6,000 watt station DOUBLES

Let's not confuse a "heritage rocker" with a station that plays heritage rock. TK had a nice book. Good job. Now, you should know better than to pretend that you can "target" 18-49, or 25-54. You target a narrower scope - as TK does with a classic rock presentation that targets 35-49. If they do well enough in that focus area, they will have some spill younger and older, and will outdraw a station with a younger focus that is primarily male - just as 97-Rock does in Buffalo when compared to WEDG.

> Keep sniffing Citadel's jock,Buffalo Boy

I believe that my posts regarding Citadel's mismanagment of 95X and the Stern situation indicate the level of respect I have for the company as it pertains to Syracuse. Look back up this thread a couple of posts and you'll see just how impressed I am with their handling of the Stern situation.

If I have to choose, though, I'd much rather sniff Citadel's jock than the poop that you keep dumping into your own pants while trying to fertilize this board with your odious emissions.

We agree.95X is toast when compared to TK in 25-54,the money demo. Now go back to Buffalo and wondering how jack will do.
