TKC on 9NineFm

Hey all,If you read Feder today, To Kool Chris is now going to be mixing on 9NineFM starting on May 20th. It is a new Saturday night mix show from 8p-5a. What do you think about this? Does that signal more trouble for B 96 and their mixshow? Do you think they will utilize Frankie "Hollywood" Rodriguez and any of the other former mixers from B 96? I could definitely see Bobby D., DJ Markski, and possibly event Tim Spinnin Schommer on this show. Comments?

Well considering 9FM is we play anything, I can see him utilizing some other genre mixers.Trance/Euro - DJ MarkskiProgressive - TKCTop40/Club - Bobby DHouse - Maybe he will grab somebody like Alex Peace, or Breakdown B from SuperdanceWho knows. Too bad he doesn't have a website.

This is great news for Chicago radio. It indicates Nine's barter and exchange program is causing them to rent out the radio station. This show could be the biggest revenue for the station ever! A whopping 2,500 per week at least. Whew, those payroll checks are safe for a while. Perhaps a new suitor is the next step for the troubled, low cume, low TSL and next to nil billing station? A fool and his money are easily parted but this one takes the cake.

Maybe this new mixshow will get rid of this "everyone has to have hip-hop" attitude of B-96's. They should have left the street mix alone.

with the three signals the show will be running off of it provides maximum coverage for a mixshow format during the timeslot. not only do you get Chicago and burbs, you will also pick up all the college towns in northern, western and even alot of southern Illinois. Thats one thing other shows are gonna lack, the "college community"
