I'm hearng Eric Chase KFRC/San Fran and JimZippo KLUV/Dallas to join TKO for pm/am drive respectively. What's the buzz? Are John Records Landecker and Marty w/the party (Marty Thompson) still anchored at TKO?

I've also heard rumors that Tom Kent has landed at SovCity as bannered above on the radio-info site (HD Radio)

Truth? Confrmation? Would this be 50-60's Oldies, 60-70's Oldies or what?

"Technical Knock-Out" is a boxing term. WTKO is a progressive talk station, and KTKO-FM is a country music station in Beeville, TX.

I think Key Demo may have posted on the wrong board.

"WHY is this BS here on SF?"

Er...cause Tony Kilbert used to work at KMEL about a decade most of their listeners were born?

Just guessing...

Seriously though, does Tony program radio stations or internet, or something? You can google Tony by name, and apparently he's now on the staff of Kauai Community College and is involved in their music festival. But googling Tony Kilbert Organization brings back no results.

O for Organization was the only thing I could think of. Although I do not know why this threasd is here in the SF section, except for the mention of Eric Chase.

I do know that KTU is a station in New York, but not TKO.

Yeah, it occurred to me after I wrote my reply that maybe you were putting us on, KIFR.

Re: TKO new line up...true or false? The Answer Is: True!

The answer to the question posed is: Jim Zippo in the morning and Eric Chase in the afternoons, joining a line up that includes John Records Landecker and others on a classic top 40 radio network. See today's Radio and Records for more info.
