TLC not recognizing mp3 files

Hey I was hoping someone could give me some insight on TLC. Everything was fine with the program and then TLC stopped recognizing mp3 files. It still works with WAV files, but it is a huge pain converting files i receive from mp3 to wav to get them to work in tlc. Anyone have any ideas why this would be? There doesn't seem to be any setting in TLC to correct this.
