TM "Stereo rock" in New Orleans.

WQUE used the automated TM Stereo Rock format during the mid to late 1970s. The format was very simple (2 currents back announced, then a recurrent and/or gold, followed by a 2 minute stop set) and the entire thing was in a side room at WGSO. One of the 'GSO on air folks would cut an hourly 2 minute news/weather and insert it in one of the cart carousels. Going into every stop set you'd hear the same announcer say "All the music without all the talk...Q93, WQUE"

Does the old KZZQ-FM/Golden Meadow count? A million years ago I "did" weekends there, which basically consisted of me changing tapes and recording news once an hour.

I remember a Billboard magazine ad from TM in the 70's which touted WQUE as a great TM Stereo Rock success story in the ratings, complete with quotes from the current PD at the time.

Does anyone have any airchecks from WQUE during the TM "Stereo Rock" period?

I have the entire TM SR-3 WQUE jingle package ("Q-93...bong! bong! bong!....W-Q-U-E!"), used from 1974-1977 and a couple of cuts from the SR-5 package to share. If so, please PM me.

Thanks
