I have a vague memory from the mid-70's that Dick Clark was gearing up a 5 day a week dance show called "The Music Thing" (which he would not host). IIRC a strip or more of shows were produced and shown on a few stations. I have never seen it, nor have I found any evidence that I am correct about this.

But I have this recollection of reading about it in TV Guide in around 1974.

Anyone?
