To cspotrun and others...what happened to the CC stations?

When I get called out after 10 years, I figured something was up. Based on recent ratings, maybe the rude post was a cry for help from inside the CC building.

I do not follow the radio wars much, but it breaks my heart to see what a faceless corporation has done to a proud group of stations, especially WMRV FM. It seems virtually impossible to run Star into the ground this far, unless it has been programmed to fail. Can someone fill me in on what happened and why?

To the folks at the stations: I hope you're all ok, and I hope this period blows over quickly.

Moo

How can WRMV fail with a flamethrower of a signal, and letting other stations with half the coverage kill them in the ratings?

I can't speak on behalf of Clear Channel, but I can say that for 10 years at Citadel we had some great people who were committed to doing great radio. We tried to be creative and to hit the streets even after the layoffs in later years. Even now with a much smaller staff there are still some good people left who are committed to doing great radio even if it means working 7 days a week.

This is Binghamton - doesn't EVERYONE left work 7 days a week? I don't remember not working seven days a week, whether at Majac, Clear Channel or Equinox...
