If you're looking for an expansion, I have an idea. For years now I've been trying to get WAY FM, on the air, here in Selma Alabama.
Due to certain issues, it hasn't worked out so far. My income was and still is a major factor, in keeping me from bringing it here.
If you're Ministry does decide to and/or is lead to locate here, hope you'll check into the possibility of starting a 100 watt LPFM or a 6000 watt full powered station at 93.3 FM.
The non-comm sector has no where to locate on. I tried to get a translator rebroadcast of it going at 94.3. Due to no nearby full powered station to rebroadcast from, that didn't work out. Our nearest WAY FM station(s) are located in Montgomery and both are low powered satellator stations.
When I was pursuing the possibility of bringing it here, I did speak to a Mr. Jim Turbo and he did everything he could to make it happen. However, those factors came into play and that's why we were unable to establish a broadcast of this wonderful station here.
This was the silent Translator I wanted to get but couldn't. Glad that a local Black Minister is now using it to help Preach the Gospel to my dying hometown.
