Wow! Lots of changes in my old market. I am on the east coast and considering a return to radio in Sacramento. I was on-air there for over ten years, but that was ten years ago - what say ye? I'd like to get opinions of the health of Sacramento radio. Thanks!
The health of Sacramento radio? Hmmm...Hard tell. Probably just as good/bad as it ever was. Can't get any worse. Not knowing where you live on the East Coast, I would be careful about cost of living differences in Cali...While I don't think Sacramento is a great radio market, it's really no worse than anywhere else these days professionally.
I can't really help you with the question, as it's been roughly 5-plus years since I worked in the market. But Sacramento was always good to me, and I really enjoyed my 7 years there!
