To the Mid Day guy at Q 105....

..where ever you may be. It's traditional when you are giving away tickets to a sporting event in the market you are working in ( or voicetracking to) that you use the HOME team first. So the next time the Rays are kind enough to throw a few ducats your way, you might want to say "We've got tickets to the Rays - Yankees series this weekend...." as opposed to "We've got tickets to the Yankees-Rays this weekend."

Yes, I realize The Yankees are
1) The Yankees
2) Defending buyers of the World Series
3) Have a long history in Tampa
4) used to be owned by CBS and ..
5) The Yankees...

However, this is still Tampa, whether you are here or somewhere else, kindly flip the teams so the Rays are first...especially if you are a Tampa based station trying to get the team to move from St Pete to Tampa.

Thank you.

for what it's worth i heard someone on Q105 early Saturday morning talking about how the rays squashed the yankees friday night, also pumped up the team's appearance on national TV - fox 13 - today.

MUSIC MAN 11 ... thank yoiu for highlighting what WRBQ did right on Saturday. However, Studio 20 has a very valid point. Not to mention, I am very sure there were more giveaways on the air (probably saying it YANKEES vs RAYS) than the Saturday mentions which was probably just once.

Having said this, WRBQ should listen and put in practice the correct "ethical/political way" .... RAYS vs YANKEES.

I think Scott Walker was too busy trying to solicit requests at the "Big Chill Bar & Grill" to worry about which baseball team gets top billing...
