To the victims...

of the recent radio changes.... CBS, Entercom, Citadel and others... If you need a studio to put together a demo, give me a shout. I would be pleased to help out any way I can. I spoke earlier today with Jim Sykes, and I know he would be willing to offer his time and talents to help also. (901) 373-1853 or [email protected]

Give me a holler!

Very observant, Hoppy!

get your head in the game, Ron!

MM, thanks for the offer!

I am probably done with radio (of course I said the same thing after I was fired from Flinn the first time, oh, and the second time, too). But you never can tell. I have made some good friends in the business over the past 16 years. I have a lot of good people looking around for me. Also, i have some good leads on some stuff out of radio.

I am considering recreating Froggy 94 as an internet station. I wonder if I could get Polly and Danger in the same room? But in the mean time I will be ok. I like government cheese!

Although I'm out of market now, I do have a studio at home, so if I can be of any assistance, don't hesitate to MP3 any audio to me, and I'll put together an aircheck.

The least I can do after all everyone in Memphis has done for me.

Bill, I was in shock when Paul told me the news. You did a damn fine job with Wizard 106 and even though I unfortunately never got to work with you there, I enjoyed getting to know you. I'm like you...I'm wrapping up my radio career (at least trying again) and preparing to move back to Atlanta for career opportunites out of radio. I may still try and land a weekend shift somewhere just to keep my feet in the pool, but that's about it for me.

You're a great programmer and a great air talent and if I hear of any good gigs, I'll certainly be glad to pass your info along. You've got my cell I think, and if not, Paul can give it to you. Let's get the crew together over in Tup-town for lunch before I bail out and all chat.

To Steve, Garner, Twitch, and any other victims: You are all in my thoughts and prayers as well. I've been there, believe me...to many times for my taste. You'll all land on your feet though guys. Just know that all of us are thinking about you.

John Paul: You are certainly missed in Memphis my friend. I've never gotten to meet you, but you've got the most blazing set of pipes I've ever heard. Best of luck with everything, and I may give you a shout for some business advice if that's cool with you.

Cheers all!

Matt

There has been a lot of talk and confusion about non-competes and general contract issues on this Board of late. And, blood continues to be spilled upon the floor.

So, to the dozen-plus fulltime folk who have been sent to the Beach within the past week: if you need a lawyer-type guy who is sensitive to the industry to make a quick run through your contract to explain its meaning to you, contact me. I'll be glad to give you an hour or two as a courtesy. Hey, that's a $400 value!

E-mail me off-line, and we can meet for lunch, or something.

DE, J.D., LL.M. (and DJ)

Rob, DE,

Very generous offers from both of you. I've got a pre-scheduled change of residence to deal with this weekend, then begin dealing with the government on Monday, but will get in touch with both of you soon after. Thanks.
