To whoever said the Hot FM wasn't going Hot AC

BS

Since 10am:

Gavin DeGraw - I Don't Want to Be
Counting Crows - Hangin' Around
Carrie Underwood - Before He Cheats
Maroon 5 - Harder to Breathe
Red Jumpsuit Apparatus - Face Down
John Mayer - Waiting on the World to Change
Goo Goo Dolls - Iris
Rob Thomas - Little Wonders
Pink - Don't Let Me Get Me
Avril Lavigne - Keep Holding On
Mat Kearney - Nothing Left to Lose
Bowling for Soup - 1985

At the very least it's Adult Top 40

I'm happy there's finally someone around here playing new music worth listening to... now they just need to do something about the name and slogan.

Well harumph....

Does look pretty AT40 or Hot AC...

Does fill a hole, technically...even though Bob has tried to cheat hot ac for quite a while

So does that leave Bob as the only station for new Rhytmic tunes?

The newest thing I've ever heard on there Hot FM would have probably considered a recurrent. If they spin new music, it's few and far between.

You are right on target. Have you heard HOT in the last week or so? They have even changed their promos and liners to say things like "The Hot FM has now grown up" and junk like that. They are now a TRUE Hot AC. Sounds pretty good too. I guess they decided to give Bob 93.3 the CHR audience. Next Media will still find a way to screw it up. They finally have a format that fits Bob and Sherry. I still don't think they can do much in the ratings with those signals but their format now fills the only hole left in the market. Pretty smart. Curtis and Hinton know what they are doing.

It's very nice finally having a station worth anything in this market. I've been wanting this format back ever since 93.3 abandoned it a few years ago.

They won't do much, but 94.3 when it was a standalone station did a lot in Greenville. This will get them close to that at least.

The "growing up" liners are clever, but I wonder if they're keeping the "Hot FM" name?
