TO WIN, HOT 95-7 LINE UP SHOULD BE...

Mornings 5 am - 10 am

BO CORONA- I think it's a safe bet he's in.

MIDDAYS 10 am - 3 pm

CARMEN CONTRERAS- KBXX's loss is HOT 95-7's gain.

AFTERNOONS 3 pm - 7 pm

MEAN GREEN/MARIA TODD- This duo could be quite entertaining!

NIGHTS 7 pm - 12 MIDNIGHT

ATOM SMASHER- Bring Roula back to nights with you, where she belongs.

OVERNIGHTS

12 MIDNIGHT - 5 am

BOARD OPERATOR- With LISTENER REQUESTS ALL NIGHT!

Thoughts.........................

Seems really strange, with the different styles of the jocks. I would be listening to a normal CHR at night, but during the day listening to "talk to me baby girl!". I can appreciate the rhythmic style, but mixing both onto one station? no. I like everyone to somewhat be on the same page with things.

Mornings
Kidd Kraddick (yeah - i know, i know)

Mid-Days
?

Afternoons
Atom Smasher - (KHKS)

Nights
Mo Bounce - (on the beach)

That's a hell of a line-up.

Obviously working for KILT on the other side of the building, I am not in anyway involved in the programming or war room meetings...but if I were to be hiring the jocks for the new CBS station I'd not hire ANYONE who's ever worked in Houston. I'd bring in a great morning team (even if you had to pipe in one from another CBS station at another major market). My priority would be a good mix jock at night for someone live and local that you could really snag the younger demos they are obviously going after.

Middays and afternoons again...no one who's been in the market before. IMHO

They have a great chance to have a completely new product with jocks that are from other markets.

Agreed. Bo's worked for every station in town (or it least it seems that way). You don't need to start the format on a stale note. And, last I heard Maria Todd is quite happy in the San Francisco area (plus it's a bigger market). I don't see her coming back.

And, I don't see a CBS station going the Kidd Kraddick route. Besides he'd sound better on CHR station like KRBE or a Hot AC like KHMX. His show does not quite fit the format.
