Today Philadelphia, Tomorrow The World!

The Hy Lit radio station is a wonderful idea which should be duplicated.

Most cities have a sound of their own, though not as distinct as Philadelphia.

I know that New Orleans and Miami had many local hits on their charts. I am sure that there are other cities as well, such as Boston, Chicago and Pittsburgh.

HyLitRadio should be the prototype. I hope that every city or region with its unique sound start a stream and have it affiliated with a great deejay or radio station from the era.

That should also happen for countries such as UK, France, Australia and others.
They should have their radio station that features songs that were important to them during the rock and roll era.

This would be a significant breakthrough if everyone had their local sound on the net.

I can't wait for the day.<P ID="signature">______________

I believe WRLL in Chicago plays a lot of local hits, from local artists.

I regularly listen to them and I hear NO "local hits from local atrists". Most of the songs I have heard on WRLL made the Top 40 or Top 100, just about all artist had a national following. They may focus a little more on Chicago-type artists like Ramsey Lewis, but he also had a large nation-wide appeal.
