Well,...now you can celebrate!
At 7:20am, today, the WROQ call letters will be 20-years old on the 101.1 FM freq. That's the call letters alone. The current Classic Rock format, on said freq, will turn 24 in December.
Note: The Wikiped on the net is full of eronious fluff.
WROQ...Sallllllllll-lute!
Now, if you could just do something/anything about that Awww-ful, overplayed, repetitive, continueously
re-"done"-unt,...Burnt...playlist!

Can you really "burn" a classic rock playlist? Has anyone ever called and said, "Less Skynyrd!"?

Lol. Good point. Come to think of it, I've never heard a beergutted wonder with a bottle of Jack in his hand in the middle of a concert scream, "EVERY ROSE HAS IT'S THORN!!!" when the lead singer asks, "What song is it you wanna hear?!", either.

That's why we call our station traditional to modern country mix and not classic country mix. Your right classic is classic depending on when you were born and grew up.

I agree that the playlist on Rock 101 today really sucks. It was a much better, larger creative playlist back in 1987, when classic rock began on Rock 101. The D.J.`s then were much better too!!! Any airchecks out there of Rock 101 in the late 1980`s??? They had a GREAT sound!!

Well,..."Quadra-Moto",...stand corrected,...as usual:
Maybe that is the wisdom of 20 years ago?
Wrong terminology! "Wisdom" has nothing to do with it...just "Fact"!
Not from an eroneous wikiped or the premature celebration of a struggling radio station, but
the "Facts" as they were then, and as they are now today, from the experience of one...
who was there!
