Todays aircheck collectors

Probably not...first of all, radio today S-U-C-K-S. For another thing, kids these days are too busy texting and walking at the same time...do they even look up for anything?

Speaking of airchecks.....I'm always looking for airchecks of KPWR Power 106 from the 80s/early 90s - preferably - not the same 5 or 6 tapes that everyone already has.

Unlike the poster above me, I don't have a poor opinion of today's youth (or radio for that matter.) Yes there are some (a few) that are; but how many kids in our younger years was "airchecking" like us. I constantly get e-mails from kids as young as 14 asking questions about the hobby, how to start a collection or asking about a particular tape I have that they would love to have a listen to.

The poster above me reminds me of a stuffy British guy (complete with the arched eyebrows, one up, one down).

Like a dialogue Ferris once had:

Maitre D': I'm suggesting that you leave before I have to get snooty.
Ferris: Snooty?
Maitre D': Snotty.
Ferris: Snotty?

Have a great day, poster above me!!! :)

I'm 19 and just started collecting airchecks in the last 6 months or so. A lot of the stuff I collect comes from aircheckdownloads.com or is stuff I've done myself, although there are 2 exceptions to this, KVIL from January 1, 2000 I downloaded from Jam's website and I downloaded the last couple of hours of WHTS from a link posted in a thread here. So, if anyone is interested in Seattle airchecks from the past year or so let me know and I'll be sure to see what I have. Speaking of which, I've been looking for a couple of years now for some KYPT clips between November of 1999 and when they went to K-Rock in 2003 and some KBKS clips from about August of 2008. If you have anything, could you please hit me up? Anyone interested in small-market radio I have some stuff I recorded about 6 months ago while over in Spokane as well.

I'm 30, but started recording in 2001 or so. I still trade, and do like the hobby.
I do have a facebook account but dont really use it, and no twitter here either.
The guys i used to trade with i haven't seen them for a while.
how many younger people still record on cassette?
dont get me wrong i can do Mp3's when in PA, but record cassettes too (especially when traveling), or currents in FL.
