'Today's Christian Music' AM 1320

In a bout of insomnia, I turned on my trusty GE Superadio to do some DX'ing. I confirmed two stations in this period, but I am a bit stumped about a third station heard at this time.

It was a contemporary christian station at AM 1320. The station was called 'Today's Christian Music'. Upon further investigation, this appears to be a satellite fed CCM format offered by Salem. Salem has a list of affiliates on their website, but you have to be a member to access this portion of the site. The closest I was able to find on Yahoo! was a station in Minot, ND that has a Gospel format on 1320, but the Today's Christian Music format is carried on their FM sister station 106.9.

Any ideas what I was hearing? Can any Salem employees tell me what station I was hearing? I was hearing this in Southern Michigan. Any help would be appreciated!

That probably is the station you're thinking, KHRT in Minot. On the station's website at http://www.khrt.com/ it shows the AM as carrying Salem's Solid Gospel network, but there could have been changes to where they're simulcasting the FM or perhaps using the music as filler between programs or even accidentally sending the wrong network to the AM station.

I did a search on Radio-Locator.com, and the only other stations listed on 1320 with any kind of Christian format are all talk oriented with little or no music according to their websites.

Kudos for your dedication in checking all of those websites!

Why on earth would Salem hide their affiliate info behind a member password?
Do they not want new listeners to find their stations?

Thanks. It wasn't too difficult. I did an advanced search by frequency and sorted by format. If Radio-Locator is correct, there were only 3 other stations with any kind of religious/Christian format on 1320, and like I said earlier, they all were talk.

Salem moves in mysterious ways.
